Musicians Geoffrey Lutaaya and his wife Irene Namatovu are very thankful to Police after they finally received their car that had been stolen last week after they were waylaid by armed robbers at Kalamba village in Butambala district. Following investigations by police, their car, a Toyota Alphard registration number UAY 544Q was finally recovered and handed over to the singers on Wednesday.
According to Police, in circumstances when they receive a stolen car, only someone with the legal documents for the car can be given the vehicle and in this case it was handed over to the Lutaayas who were very thankful.
“We thank God so much for bringing back our car and for the police for helping us through this very trying time. Indeed God is good,” Irene said.
Geoffrey Lutaaya and Irene Namatovu who were in company of three of their crew members were heading back to Kampala, from a music show in Kanoni town, Gomba district when the attack happened. The car was recovered in Iganga on Monday.
