It was a sold out show at the Kampala Serena Hotel on Friday evening as American musicians Karyn White and Kirk Whalum thrilled revelers in the 8th edition of the annual Nile Gold Jazz safari.
A bevy of Jazz and soul music lovers thronged Serena Victoria hall and by 9pm it was visibly filled up as more people continued to filter in to be part of the epic evening.

Jazz maestro Kirk Whalum stepped on stage shortly after 9pm and went on to serenade the crowd for close to an hour in an energy-filled and enchanting performance.

R&B singer Karyn White who took the stage after Whalum carried on the show at the same tempo as she exhilarated the already ecstatic crowd with her songs that included, ‘Besides You’, ‘Tears of joy’, ‘Unbreakable’ and ‘Superwoman’.
The evening’s highlight was when Kary invited two men on stage to try and woo her in a steamy display, much to the excitement of the crowd that cheered on enthusiastically.
