Sad news reaching our desk indicates that Uganda’s finest gospel artiste Exodus, real name Lubega Timothy, has lost his dad identified as Suleiman Matovu. Exodus lost his mom at a tender age and had been left with his father only who has also passed away today.
However, the Igwe singer left his father’s house after he married another woman who is said to have mistreated him forcing him to go and live on the streets of Kampala. Exodus was later picked up from the streets by Pastor Robert Kayanja of Rubaga Miracle centre who took care of him.
We have also learnt that by the time his father died, Exodus had forgiven all his parents and was on good terms with them. Details about the cause of his death are still scanty and arrangements for burial of his father are underway.
May his father’s soul Rest in peace!!!
