Musician Aziz Azion has claimed to be the king of BaxRagga, a seemingly new music style that has taken the local music industry by storm.
Aziz Azion claimed to have discovered BaxRagga while appearing on NBS Television over the weekend. However, the show host Tuff B was quick to inform him that this style has been in existence for sometime indicating that Bebe Cool had recorded a song with Nandujja titled Kamungolo in the same style a few years back.
The Mulembe singer responded by indicating that the style might have been in existence before but it had no distinct name till he came up with BaxRagga.
BaxRagga is a fusion of Ugandan Afro-beat and dance-hall and has been embraced by several local musicians; the latest being Geosteady and Winnie Nwagi among others.
