Musician Bobi Wine has taken his activism works a notch higher.

Famous for releasing socially conscious music, the “Time Bomb” singer has now taken a step further and joined different campaigns aimed at improving conditions of the common man.

The singer, who is said to harbour political ambitions after he allegedly showed interest in contesting for member of parliament, has endorsed a new campaign dubbed “Stop the Bleeding” that is aimed at curbing illicit financial flows.

Bobi Wine attended the official launch of the campaign that was held at Hotel Africana on Tuesday. Speaking after the launch, he said; “Today I joined fellow law students from 10 Universities from around East Africa and members of Civil Society on the launch of the #StopTheBleedingCampaign, a campaign against illicit financial flows mainly through bad Tax policies.”

He added, “I personally have a problem with the unjustified Tax incentives to the so called investors where at the end of the day, for every Dollar we attract from them, we lose three.”

The “Stop the Bleeding”  campaign seeks to broaden the conversation on illicit financial flows beyond specialist circles by mobilizing ordinary people and grassroots social movements who are most affected by the problem in terms of lost economic benefits to be a key part of the voices for change.
