Local musician Angella Katatumba’s father, Bonney Katatumba will be laid to rest this Sunday.
According to a program released by the family, a vigil will be held this Friday at the Pakistan Consulate Residence in Muyenga. A requiem mass will then be held at Rubaga Cathedral on Saturday, before the body is flown to Mbarara.
Bonney Katatumba will be buried at Nyakayojjo, Rwekishokye Club on Sunday.
The 70-year-old diplomat passed away on Thursday morning at International Hospital Kampala where he had been admitted for about a week. He had just had a successful operation for colon cancer, but succumbed to pneumonia and an asthma attack.
Bonney Katatumba was a renowned city businessman and Ugandan consul to Pakistan.
