Kampala food lovers should brace themselves for a whole new experience following the opening of a new restaurant in town.
Named Furaha Restaurant, it specializes in Swahili cuisines. According to Kassim Fatuma, the brains behind the restaurant, it is the first of its kind in Kampala and will be serving authentic Swahili foods.

“Furaha is the only restaurant serving authentic Swahili foods around Kampala.” She noted, “We want to interest the local people in a different culture.”
Their menu boasts of different Swahili dishes including Biryani, Kaimati and Bhajia among others.

It is located behind Ham Towers, Makerere Hill with prices ranging between 10K and 40K.
