Musician Rema Namakula has warned her fans about fraudsters.

This comes after one of her fans fell victim to these online conmen. According to Rema, two young men have for over a year been using her name to get money from unsuspecting upcoming artists for promotion and collabos.

However, their luck ran out today as they were finally arrested after a trap was laid for them. Sources have revealed that their latest would-be victim involved police after she became suspicious of the deal. She convinced the fraudsters to come pick their final installment of their agreed payment, only to find police waiting for them.

The two arrested conmen were aged 16 and 17 and are both students at Old Kampala Secondary school.

Speaking about the incident, Rema said; “They have Facebook accounts under my name. They also had cards plus a stamp all in my names. Don’t be fooled, I don’t beg for money from my fans at any point so do it at your own risk.”
