It is not news that many youths are unemployed and Uganda continues to grapple with a poor economic environment which has left many local businesses struggling.
Instead of crying and folding his arms, comedian Patrick Idringi Salvado is taking a bold move to alter the situation. He is spearheading a movement to empower the youth with the skill-sets needed to thrive in the competitive world.
Through Development Channel, a company recently launched in Uganda, the comedian is looking to change mindsets of the youth so that they can have a positive outlook on the world and learn to appreciate their own which he believes will lead to business growth.
“Development Channel is providing solutions to problems Africa faces daily. And it is because of this that I have chosen to associate with this company.” He stated. “We want to change mindsets of Africans so that they can begin putting Africa first and this in turn will see African businesses prosper and provide employment opportunities for more people.”

According to Mr. Charles Lambert, the brains behind Development Channel, they are preparing Africa for a global economic warfare with this initiative.
“Africa needs to wake up. There is an urgent need to transform Africa and this can only be achieved through economic warfare.” He said, adding that; “We are going to compete in 25 strategic areas such as Mobile devices, Infrastructure, food and so on. We have 25 well crafted companies under the Development Channel Conglomerate to fight in this coming Economic War to put Africa First.”
As part of the company’s first role out phase, they are pushing the ICT for all campaign where they have introduced mobile devices with the aim of bridging the gap in access to development needs so that no one is left behind in the digital revolution.
Development Channel is a conglomerate of 25 companies aimed at uplifting the quality of African lives by promoting African industrialization through embracing emerging technologies.
