Self-made entrepreneur and human rights activist Frank Gashumba, under his organization Sisimuka Uganda, managed to collect over 1 million Ugandan shillings to help Nalubega Brenda a lady who was allegedly infected with HIV by Pastor Yiga.
Gashumba last week called upon all Ugandans to offer anything they can to help this lady a thing they did not hesitate to do. He later yesterday visited Nalubega’s home in Mperwere Gayaza to take for her the money he had collected.
Through his Facebook, Gashumba thanked those who managed to help. He wrote:
“If you cant feed 100 people, then feed just one” Mother Teresa. Early this week, I started a campaign to help an HIV Virus victim mother by the name of Brenda Nalubega who alleges that Pastor Yiga (Abizayo) raped her and infected her with HIV. From Monday to yesterday 5th Friday, we had received 1.2 million in cash from different Ugandans across the globe, yesterday evening we visited Nalubega at her home in Mperere, Gayaza Road were we handed her 1m cash and other eatables valued 250,000 ugshs. Thank Bukedde TV and Bukedde Newspaper and those who have contributed to this cause, May God bless the hands that donated. I wouldnt have done this alone and the most terrible poverty is loneliness and the feeling of being unloved so our visit to her place sent a clear message to her and her child that some other Ugandans outside there are with her. Again i quote Mother Teresa ” I alone cannot change the world, but i can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples” Again thank you so much On Monday i will post the names of those who contributed.”
