
Guests enjoy a rolex during the Rolex Festival Season 3 launch

The Rolex Festival is returning for season 3.
The 3rd edition of the annual festival that aims to grow Food Tourism using the rolex as one the vehicles was launched on Tuesday evening at a ceremony held at the Independence Monument grounds.
Speaking at the launch, Enid Mirembe, the brains behind the event, noted that this year’s edition will have more vendors and revelers should expect a richer culinary and fun experience. “We will have more vendors this year, and these will offer a variety of sumptuous and unique rolexes like meat rolex, and chicken rolex among others.” She said.
“We will also have a lot of entertainment including dj sets and music performances from artistes like Cindy Sanyu, Eddie Wizzy, Vinka and many more.” She added.
This year’s festival which will be held under the theme, “Street Smart”, will focus on sensitizing street food vendors to operate their businesses smartly by meeting quality assurance, hygiene, health and environment standards.
Leading up to the festival, there will be numerous street activations in and around Kampala where local rolex makers will be educated on the appropriate practices that will enable them grow their business.
Sponsored by Galaxy FM and Coca-Cola among others, the festival will be held on Sunday, August 19 at the Ugandan Museum grounds.
