Jose Chameleone accorded military send-off in Congo

Legendary Ugandan singer Jose Chameleone on Sunday, November 29 caused a stir in Congo when he was surrounded by military police as he was making his way from the podium he’d performed on.

Chameleone held an energetic show in the city of Goma to a mammoth crowd which was thrilled by the artiste’s performance of his repertoire.

As he was heading to his car, thousands of fans followed him but were time and again pushed away by the heavy security which was manning him.

This did not stop the fans from singing at the top of their voices to Chameleone’s famous Kipepeo hit.

The Leone Island boss later in the evening ravished revelers at an entertainment joint in Goma City.

Video recordings of Chameleone’s performance in Goma made their way to social media, prompting Kenya’s Victoria Kimani to applaud the seasoned singer.

Referring to his huge fanbase, Kimani posted on social media: “This is inspiration; the power of good music. My big brother Jose Chameleone in the game for over a decade; respect.”

Evidently impressed by the turn out too, Chameleone patted himself on the back by taking to Instagram.

He wrote: “I am that people for the people! You won’t find me on those channels! You will find me in the hearts of the people that need no manual to celebrate Joseph! Thanks to my people who love me unconditionally. Mama gave birth to a great son, and they know; If they don’t then let them know.”
