Rapper Don MC has stirred more controversy. The rapper who has been rumored to be feasting on StarBoss Big Eye’s ex lover Sheila has put it clear that he can not marry only one woman.

The rapper has disclosed he is still searching for 3 other women to house and marry. The rapper said, “I want to marry four wives and have twenty kids.” He further revealed that he is not about to get committed to one woman.

Don MC has in the past dated several city girls and is still counting.

Maro officially opens his own music studio, dedicates it to late singer Elie Charm

Self-proclaimed R’n’B Kyabazinga Ronald Maro has finally officially opened his own music studio dubbed Volume Up Records. Maro organised a small party to celebrate the milestone. The party was attended by his friends, fellow singers and partners in the music business.

Speaking at the grand opening ceremony that was held last Friday, Maro revealed that his new recording studio was a dream come true as he dedicated it to the memory of his late friend and singer Elie Charm who passed on three years ago.

“I had a dream three days ago and in this dream I was with Elie Charm telling him how I know he was still living, we shared a lot and I remember that he was very happy about Volume Up Records and the direction I am taking,” he said in a touching tribute to his fallen comrade.

The studio architecture was designed by Maro himself while the equipment was shipped in from Germany.

Meanwhile, Volume Up Records will offer services that include audio production, commercials and music consultancy. It is located at Tirupati Mall, Kabalagala.

Upcoming singer King Fahad International is set to stage his long awaited Ndi Bilala show slated for 31st May, 2016 at DV8 Club Luzira.

The singer will thrill his local fans with all his songs like Twesortinge, Yani among others. The show will also feature other local singers and entertainers like Gift of Kado, comedian MC Kapale, Lil Puzzle and Kapalaga among others.

King Fahad has promised nothing but only the best out of him. Gates will be open at 6pm and the tickets will go for only 4000 UGX and 10000 UGX VIP.

Musician Jose Chameleone seems to be more focused on the international market this year as he continues to record  music with other International music stars.

The Leone Island boss is said to have hit studio again and this time with Jamaican star Busy Signal. The two are said to be working on two dance-hall projects in Jam Records from Jamaica.

It should be noted that Chameleone has so far released three music projects with other artistes outside Uganda, one being Pam Pam remix with Nigerian Ketchup, My Darling featuring Kenya’s Elani and Agatako that he recorded with Rwanda’s Deejay Pius.

Latest news reaching our desk indicates that musician Eddy Kenzo has finalized plans to walk down the aisle with his lover and baby mama Rema Namakula this year.

According to our close sources in Big Talent crew, the 2015 BET Award winner’s wedding ceremony will take place early in August at one of the top hotels in Kampala.

We have also learnt that Kenzo recently took Rema to studio to record a song together as his wedding gift to her.

Singers Kenzo and Rema had earlier preferred to keep their relationship a secret even amidst rumors that the two had moved in together till the couple was blessed with a baby girl in late 2014.

It should also be recalled that last year Kenzo promised to wed Rema when the time is appropriate and it seems the right time has finally come forth.

After being linked to several city dudes, NTV’s Sheilah Gashumba is now rumored to be dating the CEO Badman Gadget Music camp Lubega Yung Mulo.

According to our sources, Sheilah Gashumba and Yung Mulo have allegedly been seeing each other secretly since 2012 till today.

Sheilah has in the past been linked to several local celebrities including Ugandan singer based in South Africa Face Off, Allan Toniks, Douglas Lwanga among others since she has never disclosed her official boyfriend.

Sheilah is yet to comment about these allegations.

Singer Desire Luzinda is said to be in trouble with her landlord over failure to pay rent, something that may see her evicted.

According to our sources in National housing and Construction Company, Makerere Branch (Wandegeya flats) where Desire rents, the Ekitone singer has failed to pay rent for a period of six months now.

It is said that Luzinda has been given an ultimatum of less than two weeks to clear all the payments of six months or be thrown out of the house.

Desire who showed off her big mansion that was still under construction last year, seems to have invested all the money in building her own house and forgotten about her rent.

Zanie is currently living on cloud nine and recently she revealed to her pals that this city tycoon has finally confirmed their introduction which is expected to take place before November this year.

It should be recalled that last month, Zanie Brown came out to dismiss allegations that she was having an affair with her manager.

Female rapper Keko is set to finally release her highly awaited mixtape dubbed “Love from Venus”.  Keko, who recently announced that “Love from Venus” will be her final works as she retires from music, will release the mixtape at a silent disco party slated for early next month.

We have learnt that Keko has worked on this mixtape for over a year and it is very versatile with a little bit of everything – fantasy, real life and fiction.

“I like to write about a lot of things so this yet another outlet for me after P.A.R.A.N.O.I.D. I hope my fans will love it,” she said about her upcoming mixtape. “Why Venus, well I am a woman so I must be from Venus and I heard nothing is stronger than a mother’s love.”

The listening party will be held at Gattomato on 2nd June. There will be performances from top Ugandan rappers including Navio, Ruyonga, 4GB and The Mith. Entrance is 20K.

Celebrated Ugandan rapper Navio has hinted on a concert this year. The rapper who is currently basking in the success of his new single “Njogereza” revealed the prospect of a concert later this year on social media.

Teasing fans about a possible concert, he said; “Do you think it’s time for a Navio concert?”

The concert prospect roused excitement among fans with most answering  in the affirmative.

Whether he will honor his fans’ demands, only time will tell.

Meanwhile, Navio last held a major show in 2014, the first ever day time concert in Uganda.

She may have come second in the recently concluded Vodafone Whatsapp Mania music competition, but Charlene Kasumba still has what it takes to be Uganda’s next finest young female artist.

Charlene competed with over 100 participants in the 3 month Vodafone Whatsapp Mania music competition that ended in April to become a runner up and winner of an audio recording contract with Talent 256. She is finally in studio recording her first single.

Our snoops spotted the shy freelance photographer turned musician stepping into the Talent Africa offices in Nakasero, a few days after Elijah was seen at the same venue, and we can ascertain that she has something magical cooking that will be expected to stir up good trouble for leading vocalists in the industry.

Unfortunately our snoops were unable to get a single comment out of the budding songbird or even Talent Africa’s Alibhai who remained equally tight-lipped about the progress of the recordings, leaving us all thirsty for more.

For now, we will continue to watch the space as we keep you posted.

Bobi Wine and his wife Barbie hang out with US Ambassador Deborah Malac

Musician Bobi Wine and his wife Barbie Kyagulanyi seem to be building a strong relationship with the US as they spent last evening with US Ambassador to Uganda Deborah Malac.

Bobi is said to have discussed with US Ambassador and other youth leaders about issues affecting the youth and how they are working to make a better future for everyone.

The US Embassy in Kampala posted about the event on their Facebook page: “Oh, just hanging out with Uganda’s ghetto president Bobi Wine and wife Barbie Kyagulanyi! Ambassador Malac, Bobi, and Barbie had a great time last night chatting with Ugandan youth leaders and learning how they’re working to make a better future for everyone.”

Musicians Rema Namakula and Eddy Kenzo who are getting ready for a mega wedding are working on a collabo as a wedding gift to fans. The song which is currently being recorded by the two artistes will be released soon, according to our sources.

We have been informed that the song whose name is yet to be announced to the public will be released after Ramadhan since both artistes are Muslim and would like to first fast before releasing the wedding gift. This means that the song will come out around July this year.

Musician Zanie Brown, real name Zanie Nabbosa Nalubega, has finally spoken out about rumours that she has been head over heels for singer Geoffrey Lutaaya who is married to Irene Namatovu.

As expected Zanie denied ever being in any relationship with De Nu Eagles boss. This came at a time when fans were accusing her of being the cause of the marriage break up of Lutaaya’s family.

“I think it is time for me to clear this because I have been hearing a lot things for a while now. I was just called to help Lutaaya during his shows and that is what I did and left, people saying that I am in love with a married man is so disrespectful to me and I am not happy at all. It wasn’t romance or anything like the way people put it, it was a contract and I did my job,” she said in an interview.

The singer who has been linked to Katongole Omutongole, a married man, Ziza Bafana of the Friendly match fame, Jail and Bossa Events boss practically said that she was angry with people tying her to other men and asked them to stop.

City promoter moves to block Sheila Don Zella’s All-White party in Entebbe

Events Promoter cum singer Sheila Don Zella has clashed with another city promoter only identified as Munamasaka over her all-white party slated to take place in Entebbe. This comes after the said promoter moved to block her party from happening.

According to Don Zella, Munamasaka made ludicrous claims that he “owns” all-white themed parties in the country. “Today, someone called me mbu he is called Munamasaka claiming he owns all white parties organized in Uganda. He claims he will stop my white party in Entebbe as he registered it as his own and his company,” she said.

Meanwhile, Don Zella has scoffed at the promoter and remains unfazed by his claims. She insists her party will go on as earlier planned. The All-white party will take place at Club X5 this Friday. There will be performances from Geosteady and Papa Cidy.

Uganda’s legendary reggae musician Maddox Sematimba is slowly but steadily getting his groove back on as he continues to land more gigs. Weeks after performing at Qwela Junction, Maddox is now set to headline an upcoming family event to be held in Munyonyo dubbed “Roast and Rhyme”.

According to the organisers of the event, “Roast and Rhyme” is a fusion of good music, great company and mouth watering BBQ at the lakeside.

The event will take place at Jahazi Pier Munyonyo on Sunday, 5th June. There will also be performances from vocalist Steve Keys and rapper Navio.

The event is organized by Swangz Avenue. Entrance is 50K.
