The truth about Diamond Platnumz worth was recently made public through E VIP, a show that is broadcasted by E!TV placed him as the richest musician in Tanzania. According to the show, Diamond Platnumz currently stands at $ 4 million.

Most of his money comes from shows, brand ambassadorial deals and endorsements from well-to-do companies like DSTV, Coca Cola, Uber and Vodacom. Royalties, Ringtones and call back tones have also made him a lot of money.

DJ Obi, one of Nigeria’s foremost, has broken the  Guinness World Record for Longest DJ Set.

The current record for Longest DJ Set is 200 hours and was set on November 19, 2014 in Dublin, Ireland. DJ Obi attempts to make history with a continuous 240 hour, but today, he went past the 200-hour mark at Sao Café located in Lekki Phase One.

It has not been easy so far, just like all good things. After DJ Obi’s team put the finishing details on the technical aspects, a short video from the Guinness World Record’s team and a short prayer, Obi kicked off minute-one of his 240 hours at 11:30pm on Wednesday 22 June, 2016. Opening to a packed house, he mixed mostly House music from different countries, which was more than enough to keep the crowd moving.

By 6am on July 1, 2016, he equalled the World Record of 200 hours held by DJ Norberto Loco of Poland, and by the time the clock struck 7 am, Obi Ajuonoma, successfully set a new Guinness World Record of 201 hours, for longest DJ set in the world. There is still be 39 more hours for him to extend that record, and reach a personal and world best of 240 hours.

Musician Bebe Cool is said to be a happy man after NRM party promised to sponsor his highly anticipated “Life of Bebe Cool” concert slated to take place at Serena Hotel in August.

According to our sources, top NRM officials met Bebe Cool a few days ago and revealed to him that the party will inject millions of money in his show since he has been a big supporter of their party.

We have further learnt that NRM party will buy tickets for some of its loyal supporters such that there is no boycott of the show as earlier announced by some of the opposition parties.

It should also be noted that Bebe was among the brains behind Tubonga Nawe project and even headlined President Museveni’s campaigns  that saw him win elections in March this year.

According to our sources, Fabiola is said to have spent a good time enjoying herself with the Nigerian singer in one of the hotels in Boston during the recently concluded BET awards.

We recently reported that the popular Iguana bar located along Acacia Mall will terminate business this weekend and many of its patrons have been wondering why this nightspot is terminating its business, some thinking there is some politics behind this but finally we have got the truth.

Speaking to the boss of Iguana bar known as Sebastiaan Petrus, we have learned  that the bar will be demolished soon since he has been renting the place and the owners decided to sell it off to Indians who will be setting up  a new building soon.

He however added that he still has plans of relocating to another place after settling, though it may not be soon.

Iguana bar had already acquired a name as a home of whites, Rastafarians, Mzungu hunters, and Reggae music lovers with its popular Jam rock Thursday nights.

It will be terminating business at the end of this week with a mega fare well party happening this Saturday, July 2nd.

Maureen Nantume has today given back to Muslims as their fasting period comes to an end.  She donated several food items to villages in Mityana.

She posted about the charity drive on social media: “I thank the almighty for a good sunny day he has provided to all of us this last Friday of the holly month of ‪Ramadan‬ which we’ve used to provide to those who have been fasting and praying to Allah for their well being and the gift of life ‪#‎Kusibuluula‬. Blessed is the hand that gives than the one that takes only. I want to thank the entire ‪Maureen family‬ for making this a job well done. I pray to God he appreciates the gifts of our sweat. Mityana has been the main municipality and ‪Dibulungi and Mbaliga‬ were the villages we’ve visited.”

Gagamel CEO Bebe Cool is said to have rejected concert sponsorship offers from some top companies that had proposed to become partners at his highly anticipated “Life of Bebe Cool” concert.

During his recent meeting with sponsors of his upcoming concert, over 20 companies including MTN, Pepsi, NTV Uganda, Club beer among others were interested in sponsoring his concert but the Ki Ekiganye singer is said to have denied some of them a chance to sponsor his show.

Bebe Cool is said to have turn down companies which could not raise at least Ugx 10 million in sponsorship.

Bebe’s concert is slated to take place on August 5th at Serena Hotel.

The war between Pallaso and his former manager Jeff Kiwa is not about to come to an end. This after the two almost exchanged blows at Cassablanca over the weekend.

According to an eye witness, it all started after Pallaso got in a heated argument with Jeff and attacked him in the DJ box where he had entered to hand Dj Bobby a flash disk to premiere Roden Y’s music before the Mama singer pulled it out from the computer and threw it away.

However, Jeff played it cool this time as he walked away and left Pallaso alone in the Dj box as everyone watched the live drama.

It should be recalled that Pallaso and Jeff have been at loggerheads ever since he left Team No Sleep crew accusing him of having a hand in the death of his fallen brother and singer AK 47.

Musician Radio and Weasel have fallen victims to hackers. The duo’s  social media accounts were hacked into this morning, but fortunately they have managed to recover them.

The Tabula Edagala singers made the announcement on their social media platforms apologizing to their fans for any inconveniences caused by the hackers.

Information reaching our news desk indicates that the Club Mega Fest is back, big and better.

According to our highly placed sources, Kenya’s popular band Sauti Sol will headline this year’s Club Mega fest slated to take place at Legends Bar.

Other artistes expected to perform at this mega show include Jose Chameleone and a lineup of other local artistes.

We have learnt that Salvado will be the emcee of the show and Dj Shiru and Dj Apeman will be the main deejays.

It should be noted that the Club Mega fest which last happened in 2014 at Namboole stadium  faced  a lot of criticism after South Africa’s Mafikizolo refused to perform despite performances from other international artistes like Shaggy, Nigeria’s Burna Boy, and Jamaica’s Patra.

Finally! Nigerian singer, D’banj born Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo got married to his girlfriend on Saturday, July 2, 2016 in a secret affair.

According to Stelladimokokorkus blog, D’banj allegedly held a secret registry wedding to an American, who has both Nigerian and South African roots.

The singer reportedly invited his father and twenty-five other guests to the registry. It was so discreet that the group thought they were invited for a birthday party but were shocked when it turned out to be the Registry wedding between Dbanj and a yet to be named Lady.

Peter Okoye is not happy with the way people perceive him as a dancer and a talkative. One of the P-Square brothers of Peter and Paul now known as Mr P said it hurts that people look at him and see him as a mere dancer when he was actually the creative one in P-Square.

He made this emotional statement to HipTv saying; “During P-Square, I was the one doing the whole structure, trying to get things properly done. I have been a creative person and I haven’t stopped. I am a very creative person but people still look at me as a dancer. It hurts but at the end of the day I still remain a creative person.”

He emphasized on his going solo when he said: “Now that I’m on my own, I will do what I have always wanted. I was limited before but now I’m good.”

Peter was the first person that came out with the true situation of P-Square but he believed people see him as being a talkative. He said: “People believe I talk too much but I tell them the truth. If I do not, you guys will never know the truth. Whether they like it or not I still remain the guy that will always tell them the truth.”

Tiwa Savage and hubby Tee Billz could soon be back in each other’s arms.

R&B singer Banky W is out to help the couple reconcile after their messy social media fight that revealed the messy fight in the marriage and eventually made the couple go their separate ways.

Banky W also known as Mr Capable is helping the estranged couple sort out their marital issues and get back together.

The singer who was Tee Billz’s best man during their wedding revealed this in an interview recently.

He was quoted: “I haven’t commented on the Tiwa and Teebillz situation because I think that some things are better worked out behind closed doors. One of my problems with the world is that we comment too much. I am a strong believer in not letting the world see or discuss your dirty laundry.”

“I believe in keeping it within the family or behind closed doors and trying to do the best job that you can. I am not going to change my stance on Tiwa and Teejay. I will say that I love both of them dearly and as a friend all I am trying to do is be there for them, trying to help them work through the issues that they have. The Material Girl who never stops reinventing herself, Madonna, a seven-time Grammy Award-winner, actress, pop culture icon, founder of Raising Malawi and a Goodwill Ambassador for Child Welfare is in Kenya.

The 57-year old icon with an estimated net worth of over $800 million spent the day visiting Kibra, also known as Kibera, Africa’s largest slum.

In an Instagram post, Madonna shared some of the moments from her visit to the slum with Shining Hope for Communities, an organization that links free schools for girls to essential services for communities like clean water, and free health care.

East Africa’s loved Ugandan duo – Radio & Weasel have started July on an up beat! This year, Africa will discover the “Edagala” and “Juice” hit makers afresh as they are set to feature on the upcoming new season of Coke Studio Africa.

They exclusively revealed that they will be working on the show’s fourth season with Kenyan top producer of The Kansoul: Madtraxx, and Togolese star group: Toofan of the hit song “Eledji”.

Radio & Weasel revealed, “Good music like ours has no genre or one style and it’s a good feeling to be paired with French speaking artistes. Toofan’s music is fast and ours has different tempos, sometimes it can be slow. Thankfully Madtraxx is very good with the tracks and has created something related to the two of us without corrupting his beats.”

While in Kenya, Radio & Weasel have also bonded with Toofan and got a chance to discover culture exchange through sharing Ugandan and West African food. “They ate Matoke and we had their Togolese dish. It had too much pepe though!”

Former Hostel TV series stars, Mathew Nabwiso and Eleanor will soon welcome a new member to their family. Eleanor who recently took to social media to show off her baby bump looks heavy and almost ripe to drop a tot.
