Liquid could be the critical mass that’s been missing to see Naalya take off never to be found again. Naalya is an area that’s self-sustaining and self-sufficient by all measures. It has the top banks, it has the top supermarkets. It has amenities like the top hospitals and schools, in other words, whatever one needs, Naalya already provides. The only thing that’s been lacking in Naalya is a booming night club.
News reaching us indicates that Liquid Silk is opening in Naalya in a not so distant time from now. Liquid Silk will be located at a flagship station that Mogas is launching just opposite Metroplex Mall Naalya. According to the proprietors of Liquid Silk, “Naalya residents being the top notch in Ugandan society need to have a place to shake off excess fat at the end of the day.”
This means that Mogas is moving away from just selling fuel, each of its stations will now have something other than fuel, similar to the City Oil Model but with much more amenities. At this Mogas station where Liquid Silk will be located, there will be a modern café and restaurant, a washing bay and a high end massage parlour, the first of its kind in Uganda.
Given the strategic location of Liquid Silk in Naalya, everything is about to change in the area and Naalya may soon become the Las Vegas of Uganda taking the title away from Kabalagala, except that for Naalya’s case, there’s a corporate touch to it.
