Michelle Yola, Prezzo’s ex hanging out with Colonel Mustapha

Colonel Mustapha could be in big trouble after he hinted at a ‘liaison’ with rapper Prezzo’s ex-girl, Michelle Yola. The two have been spending time together in a manner that suggests the two are more than friends.

This comes after Yola broke up with the controversial singer Prezzo over his repeated incidences of ‘infidelity’.

Mustapha, who is in the same TV reality show together with Yola, told Word Is that they have shot a scene together on Nairobi Diaries, which is yet to be aired.

“Yes, we have a scene together and it will be interesting to watch,” Moustapha bragged.

Mustapha seems to be getting into Prezzo’s territory after he was hanging out and having a jolly ‘ol good time with Yola.

It will be remembered that during an interview with Larry Madowo, Prezzo threatened to shoot any man that was going to try and date Yola after they had a very public break-up.

“I’m damn sure it is not the last time [we have broken up]. She is still in my heart, so it is all good, I wouldn’t really say she is my ex…yet!”

He added: “We are trying to patch things up. She is still my wife, up until I see her with another goon, then I’m going to catch a case and then, I have a money hungry lawyer who is going to take the case.”

Called for comment, Colonel Mustapha, who has just released his latest single Ayo, said he is never scared. he rubbished the veiled threats Prezzo made, saying, “He can shoot if he so pleases. But not Mustapha.”

R&B star, 2Face Idibia made some disclosure concerning how he finally ended up with his wife, Annie Macaulay.

The singer, in an interview with Soundcity News, revealed that it only took some inner soul searching to realize that his lady was the one for him.

Explaining how he managed to pull off a reconciliation with his true love, he said:

The MTV Europe Music Awards winner currently has seven children from four different women including Macaulay.

Protests rocked the Jubilee Party headquarters in Nairobi for the better part of Saturday as supporters of musician Jaguar alias Charles Njagua demanded a resolve of the stand-off following the Starehe Constituency primaries that saw incumbent Maina Kamanda declared the winner.

The popular musician, whose real name is Charles Njagua Kanyi, was spotted on camera shedding tears and wiping them uncontrollably after it was learnt that he would probably be forced to enter into a negotiation with the veteran politician to reach a consensus on the contested Starehe Jubilee primaries he claims he won.

Jaguar claimed that Kamanda has been sending proxies to compel him to a negotiation table to reach to an agreement. Jaguar however insists he won the election and was not willing to enter into negotiations with the Starehe MP.

“We are not stupid … Tangu lini wazee wakaanza kuwaibia watoto wao? Na kama anasema mimi ni mtoto wake basi aniheshimu,” Jaguar asked.

Final results announced at the constituency tallying center had Kamanda declared the winner after amassing 10,384 votes compared to Jaguar’s 8,300 votes.

Jubilee Party Secretary General, Raphael Tuju announced that the results for Starehe stood suspended following the protests by Jaguar’s supporters.

Jubilee Party tribunal is currently listening to over 3000 petitions filed before it and has set up three benches, comprising three officers, with a daily target of 50 petitions before May 10.

A contender at a previous edition of the Club DJ Awards Championship shows off his skills on the decks.

The annual Club DJ Awards championship is back.

The championship will kick off on 4th May with local disc jockeys in Western Uganda battling for the regional trophy in Mbarara at Ice lounge. It will then head to Eastern Uganda on 12th May at Club El Tanjia in Mbale.

The final showdown will take place in Entebbe at Lido beach on 21st May where top spin masters from these areas will be challenged to enter the competition at absolutely no cost to battle with deejays from Kampala and surrounding areas. Only one winner will take home Uganda’s Top DJ trophy and UGX 2 million cash instantly.

“Our forte as a brand is music, we believe in the Ugandan DJ industry as a whole. Our span of interest goes from musicians right to Deejays. To us, as long as people are skilled in music in any way, our role is to give them whatever support we can to take them to the next level,” said John Katete, the Brand Manager of Club.

Uganda DJ Awards championship, founded by Anthony Yawe aka DJ Tony in 2008, is open to the first 20 DJ’s to register in all regions, and the contenders are judged according to their mixing ability, crowd reaction and votes by their fans.

The 16th edition of Blankets and Wine Kampala was one to remember as revelers turned out in big numbers to grace the most sought after event on Uganda’s social calendar.

Despite the early rain scare, revelers flocked Lugogo Cricket Oval for what was to be a memorable Sunday evening. With an electrifying lineup consisting of; Cindy, Afrigo Band, Kenya’s Muthoni the Drummer Queen, Scandinavian group band – Daniel Lemma & Hot This Year, Fena Gitu, Kager Mungai, Pelindah, Byg Ben, Apio Moro, Joash, Mayonde, Essie, DJ Beekay & RPM and DJ Rachel, the day was set to be a fun filled one.

DJ Rachel set the day’s fanfare rolling with her mixes and later revelers were treated to performances from rising stars Pelindah, Joash, Essie, Apio Moro and Byg Ben who had the crowd dancing to some afro-fusion music in the afternoon.

As the night fell, Daniel Lemma and Hot this Year took to stage to and performed some of their big hit songs such as; Call you, Still water, Mr. Hibbert, among others.

By the time Afrigo Band took to stage, revelers were in anticipation for yet another memorable experience as they sang and danced to the band’s timeless hits such as; Olundelebu, Okwagalana kwaffe, Ekitobero, Mundeke, Nantongo.

Kenya’s Muthoni the Drummer Queen later came to stage to an already psyched up crowd and continued to fire it up with her hit songs such as; Squad up, Life, Make it right, and Turn on the lights where she featured Uganda’s Hip Hop star The Myth.

When the day’s main act Cindy Sanyu came to the stage, she was welcomed to an enthusiastic crowd that went on to sing along to her songs. Cindy’s dance crew entertained the revelers with astonishing dance moves as fans pitched in to dance along.

City tycoon and socialite Jack Pemba is behind bars, we have learnt.

Pemba was reportedly arrested and detained at Entebbe International airport as he tried to leave the country over the weekend.

According to online reports, he has been on the Interpol watch list for sometime now and was finally apprehended by security operatives in compliance with a court order on Sunday evening in a collaborative effort between Ugandan and Tanzanian forces.

We have further learnt that he is being investigated over his business and financial activities. This follows a tip off to the authorities that he is involved in money laundering.

Pemba, whose source of income has has raised a lot of speculation in the past, rose to fame following his extravagant display of wealth at social events. He is known for giving out wads of cash at music concerts and sports events.

Songstress Juliana Kanyomozi is championing a new good cause.

We have learnt that the “Woman” hitmaker has joined the “Midwives4all” campaign.

Juliana is reportedly using her voice to speak up for midwives. This comes ahead of the “International Day of the Midwife” which is celebrated globally on May 5 to highlight the work of midwives.

Celebrated American actor and producer, Forest Whitaker has visited Uganda again.

The “Last King of Scotland” star, who was in the country in early February to champion peace and development initiatives in Northern Uganda, has returned. On his earlier visit, Whitaker visited refugee resettlement camps in Gulu and conducted training workshops for the young people at the Hope North centre in Kiryandongo.

The actor who is also the UNESCO Special Envoy for Peace and Reconciliation is back to Uganda to launch a youth program and work with a new group of youth peacemakers in Acholi sub-region under his organization known as Whitaker Peace and Development Initiative (WPDI).

Ghanaian Nollywood actress, Juliet Ibrahim, has revealed she had sex in a public place not minding people around.

She was speaking in her interview with Trybes TV’s On My Honour.

The mother of one revealed that she has had sex at the beach, and that it went down well, even when beach-goers were present.

She said, “It was just spontaneous; it wasn’t planned. [We] just went all out. There were a lot of tourists around and nobody could be bothered.”

She,however, advised her fans to dare to have sex on the beach, too.

She added, “You have to be very careful when [you want to do this]. You have to make sure that wherever you are doing it, or trying to do it, it’s allowed, and it is not like a country or place where people will find it offensive.”

Juliet further disclosed that she doesn’t care if the lights are on or off, when she’s Hot. “I can’t be bothered. Anything goes,” she said.

Juliet also disclosed that she can ask a man she loves for his number.

Big Brother Naija ex-housemate, TBoss, has opened up about her highly publicized s*xual harassment from fellow housemate, Kemen.

While speaking in a new interview on Channels TV programme, Rubbin’ Minds, with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Sunday, popular Big Brother Naija housemate, TBoss, finally opened up about the s*xual assault that stirred major controversy during and after the just-concluded Nigerian reality TV Show.

The Benin City, Edo state-born Tokunbo Idowu aka Tboss, revealed that the disqualified housemate, Kemen has been making efforts to reach her since the show ended but she kept him at bay because she is angry with the way he has handled his interviews since the show ended. She said:

“I considered Kemen a friend. He was my go-to guy. He was my buddy, my muscle. He encouraged me. He motivated me. So for what happened to have happened considering all the people that look up to me, it was sad. I was angry. I was humiliated and I did feel violated but I don’t play the victim card.

“I honestly think that the decision that Big Brother took was the only decision that could have been taken. And everything that Kemen has to say about that, na him get him mouth, e fit use am talk wetin him wan talk but he knows and we know.

“I have seen him a few times but I really don’t want to talk to him because honestly the day you (Ebuka) came into the house with Karen, I was thinking what would happen if I see Kemen because I thought there would be a party after then.

“I just wanted to slap him. I think I even said that but then I came out and I said you know what everyone can make mistake because I am an attractive person but then, I come out and I hear the interviews he has given, today he makes an apology and then tomorrow he comes out to say TBoss knows what happened and that if there was no N25 million involved, hopefully she would tell the truth. What truth are you talking about? You are contradicting yourself. And then you are calling me? He has called me like over 15-20 times but I don’t want to speak to him. I am not ready because if I talk, I would say the wrong things. I want to calm down.”

Geosteady, who broke out with his hit single, “Viola,” in 2013, has revealed that he will hold his biggest concert to-date in September this year.

Singer cum actress Hellen Lukoma has shown support to a new good cause.

We have learnt that the “Allergy” singer has joined a campaign geared towards fighting for children’s rights and championing girl education.

She announced her new endeavors on social media where she posted: “Joining hands to save the girl child, saving gals of kalangala from being sold by their parents in exchange for fish. Let the girl child have a brighter future free from early pregnancy. Girl child education is key!”

The campaign is being supported by European Commission in Uganda.

All is not well with local fashionista Kim Swagga.

This after he was allegedly attacked by thugs on Wednesday night. We have learnt that Kim was waylaid by unknown assailants who robbed him clean as he headed back home.

According singer StarBoss Big Eye, who says witnessed the entire ordeal, Kim was pulled out of his car and all his valuables taken.

He said, “My brother KIM SWAGGA has just been attacked by the unknown gang of thieves this night when he was driving to his place. All his staff has been taken from the car including his phones.They pulled him out when he was driving and also his car got injured coz it continued driving its self untill when it fell in the trench. I witnessed it my self coz his car was behind mine.”

Kim Swagga is said to be still recovering from the shock of the incident.

The “Passport” singer has been nominated in Groove Awards, a premiere gospel music awards showcase in Kenya.

Levixone is nominated in the Eastern and Central Africa artiste of the year category where he will battle with musicians from Ethiopia, Rwanda, Tanzania and DRC for the coveted award.

He has expressed excitement about the nod and rallied support from his fans across the region to bring the award home.
