Jose Chameleone has put recent divorce rumours to bed once and for all.

The “Sweet Banana” singer who recently made headlines after his wife, Daniella Atim reportedly filed for divorce proved that all is well again as he stepped out with her for his birthday celebrations.

Daniella had reportedly accused Chameleone of domestic violence, revealing that he often came back home drunk and beat her up for no apparent reason. She could not stand the abusive marriage anymore and had since moved to officially dissolve the marriage in court.

However, following earnest pleas from the singer and a promise to change his behaviour, Daniella finally returned after abandoning their marital home for close to a month.

The couple appears to have indeed resolved their issues and their love is blossoming again. Chameleone and Daniella could not keep hands off each other as the singer celebrated his 39th birthday at Cayenne Lounge on Sunday.

The couple arrived at the venue hand-in-hand around midnight and kept close company throughout the evening as Chameleone celebrated his big day with close friends, family and fans. The couple could be seen smiling at each other through out the event that went on till wee hours of the morning.

Here are some photos of the couple at the event:

Michael Ross

Local musician Michael Ross has revealed that talented artistes often fail to succeed in the music industry because they are suffocated by greedy people.

The “Give Me Tonight” singer made the remarks in a lengthy social media post while sharing advice for upcoming musicians. He noted that to succeed in the music industry one needs talent, a plan and the right contacts in the industry. He posted:

“First of all ask yourself, are u in it as a life career or just for the money? Because this industry aint what it used to be 15 years ago. Real talent is being neglected and suffocated because of greedy people in the media. Therefore young and upcoming artists are being told that they don’t need talent to make it in music, just money to pay off the right people in the right places and you are good to go. But that’s not true.U need talent if any, a plan and the right people in your corner that actually want to see u win.

You may want to take that short cut of paying your way to the top but trust me u won’t last long because abantu sibasiru. People can tell an artist from a person eyenonya and this will eventually affect u along the way.

Beef and controversy make u relevant. But your music is what makes u loved. Besides Life itself is full of beef and controversy and it will come along the way any way. And whatever u do for money, dont compromise your spiritual and moral values.”

Bebe Cool

Fast-rising Kenyan female artiste Gin Ideal hit the music charts with the song Rede. After the original song made a piercing impression to her fans, Ideal was in for a remix of the song.

The Rede hitmaker did a remix of the original with Kenya’s dance hall artiste Wyre and before it was released, Gin Ideal had first settled for Uganda’s Bebe Cool.

The female star explained that she sent the original to Bebe Cool and instead of putting his words to add to the remix, Bebe Cool went on to copy paste her song and came out with another song called Dede, with the same melody.

“In the beginning we had settled on Bebe Cool and then he went ahead and took my chorus and did a song called Dede,” she said.

Rather than take any legal action, Ideal who now has a new hit called Kuna Kitu, chose to let it go.

“I had a choice of being all dramatic. I just chose to let it all go. It was someone i respected. For me, he proved to be shady.”
