One lady identified as Patience Yisa made headlines during the time the PSquare brothers, Paul, Peter and Jude Okoye were hell bent on going their separate ways. She shared a video of her crying profusely and begging the singing twin brothers to re-unite and it went viral.

Just recently she ran into troubled waters with her landlady, she was to be evicted by her landlady. Apparently, she contacted Paul Okoye for help and he reached out to her.

She tells the story of Paul Okoye helping her:

Recently my saloon rent expired and couldn’t pay, begged my landlady to give me sometime but she complained bitterly that she needs to pay her children’s school fees. The pressure was much, business was not moving, and the only person who would’ve helped me out (my mom) had not received her salary since February. “We are about to go live – NEVALAND FM. You will be able to stream live,” the Goodlyfe singers announced.

TV star Faridah Nakazibwe is back!

The NTV Mwasuze Mutya host and NTV Akawungeezi news anchor who has been off air for sometime now has returned to work today morning.

This was confirmed by her workmate and NTV reporter Maurice Ochol who took a selfie with Faridah at work and shared it on social media captioned; “Guess who’s back in office the mugole her self Faridah Nakazibwe.”

Faridah further moved to calm the hearts of her legion of fans confirming that she is back on NTV, dispelling reports that she had resigned at the Serena based station and was moving on to greener pastures.

“Weep No More…  I am back! Thanks so much for the love.” She posted.

She added that she will also be back on the NTV Mwasuze Mutya show which airs every week day from 9am-10:30am.

Meanwhile, Faridah Nakazibwe had taken a break from TV to wed his lover Omar Ssali in Dubai.

Celebrated local comedian Patrick Salvado Idringi has shared the story of how his “Africa Laughs” comedy show came to life. Read it below.

“It was in 2013 and I was just 4 yrs in the comedy industry.. this was arguably my breakout year…. I went to Nairobi for a show dubbed Night of a thousand Laughs which also took place in Kampala, from that show I thought to myself, why can’t I.. a local.. do such a show in my own country… because the hardest thing which was getting the comedians had become a piece of cake since I had performed on the same stage with some of the best from the continent. I was like let me do this..

I gathered myself, chose a date, convinced the comedians who all agreed and was like okay next hurdle is finding a premium sponsor. I was known as a Bell Lager drinker and I was loyal to that Brand, the whole company knew they had me for life Coz I was even their official MC for all their functions, I was so confident of getting them on board, I even made them aware of the show during one of the events I was hosting for them and the response from everyone including the MD was amazing, then came the actual soliciting..

Hoooooo I was tossed…. from one office to another for a period of 3months bare in mind I had already confirmed venue, date and comedians. I stared panicking as the date got closer… still the tossing continued.

One day I said if this doesn’t happen… i’m going to cancel. I call the brand manager .. he says ohh I was even thinking about your show, come to office at 9am.. I was there at 8am waited at reception till 9am, the receptionist calls him but he doesn’t pick up, I call him as well still same result.. so I send him a message to which he replies “in a meeting” so I was like should I stay.. leave.. cry.. die??? 3Hrs later.. his “meeting” isn’t done yet.. so I call and he says he is tired… I was like it’s official… this won’t work.. I gather myself and leave…

So I’m by the road side outside the factory waiting for a Taxi .. all Confused and frustrated when a prado hoots and parks next to me… And the driver comes out and says dingli dingli (for my Idringi name) and who do I see.. one of my favourite persons as of now Samuel aka Hooper.. he is like what are you doing here..

I was embarrassed cos he worked for a competitor brand.. but bse I was so frustrated, I was honest.. I told him the story.. he was like this is a good concept.. he asked for the proposal. Again I was embarrassed coz it had Bell lager and all my praises for it all through… but I said I loose nothing … so I gave it to him and he went through it .. his question .. “Are you sure you can bring Basketmouth to Uganda?” To which I replied OFCOURSE with evidence (Whatsapp communication) and he said cool, I’ll call you.. I said to myself .. “typical, that’s what the last one said “.

I go home, all frustrated and confused … but hooooo at 10pm I get a call from Sam, he is like can you be at office at 9am, I said boss even if it’s 6am I’ll be there, Next morning.. smartly dressed I arrive at the office, wait at the reception area and not a minute later i’m summoned to the board room that had other staff notably Mr. Daniel Ogong the Marketing Manager NBL.. I was like hoooo, all of them holding the Bell branded proposal.

Sam asks, what do you need for this show to happen? People people I wanted to die … Not even a day and my proposal had been approved … after I told them what was required .. the creative team at Moringa agency was already asking for ALL THE COMEDIAN’s pictures to design the Poster… and that my friends was the birth of Africa Laughs … thanks to Club through its brand manager Sam Hooper.. we are now 3yrs Old.”

Female rapper Keko has come back full circle.

The “Fly Solo” hitmaker, who announced her retirement from music a few months back, has made a u-turn and is now set for a mega show in Kenya.

Keko will a headline a show dubbed “Queens of the Mic” in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi. The show will go down on Thursday, 3rd November at Gallileo Lounge.

Meanwhile, Keko recently debuted her new album titled “Strides” and will also use her trip to Kenya to tour their different media houses promoting it.

Renowned Tanzanian Singer Ray C has been silent musically for a while now as she has been struggling with drug addiction. The sultry singer whose real name is Rehema Chamalia has been in and out of rehab severally and her fans were almost giving up on her. However, she has quickly picked up the pieces of her life and she is back in the studio recording music with fellow Tanzanian artist Damian Soul.

The two artists are excited to work together and they have been posting images on their social media accounts as they were recording the music in a studio located in Dar es Salaam.

Bongo Movie star and business lady Wema Sepetu is undoubtedly one of the most controversial celebrities in Magufuli-Land. Kanye West says he’ll boycott the 2017 Grammy Awards if the organizers don’t bend the rules and include his pal Frank Ocean’s latest album for nomination.

West has been vocal in his support for Ocean’s long-awaited album, “Blond,” released in August four long years after his breakthrough, “Channel Orange.”

The critically acclaimed work was released before the Sept. 30 deadline for nomination at the 2017 Grammys, but it appears it won’t be nominated for any gongs. Why? Because it wasn’t submitted for consideration by Ocean’s label or management.

MTV reports that it’s unclear whether the oversight was intentional or not, but either way, it seems Ocean’s team is at fault.

But at the Oakland stop on his Saint Pablo Tour, during one of his trademark rambling monologues, Ocean’s friend and collaborator West insisted that the Grammys should bend the rules, citing previous nominee Lady Gaga as an example.

“[Gaga] wasn’t nominated for Best New Artist, right? But they wanted her to perform at the show; they wanted her to open. So the Grammys secretly changed something about the nominations in order to nominate her, in order for her to perform in the show,” he claimed.

“Now, Frank Ocean, on the other hand, is very vocal that his album wasn’t nominated for the Grammys, right? Since he’s vocal, no one wants to say nothing about it. No one wants to do nothing about it. And I’m saying this to y’all, because a lot of people try to make a scene, like, ‘I’m so self-centred.’ But the album I listened to the most this year is Frank Ocean’s album,”

West continued, delivering his ultimatum: “And I’ll tell you this right now: If his album’s not nominated in no categories, I’m not showing up to the Grammys.”

Given his past form at awards shows — from snatching other people’s awards to eating up stage time with long, grandiose monologues — they might just take him up on that threat.

Rapper Cassper Nyovest may have dated his sweetheart Boity twice before but the rapper says that he’s lost his chance to marry her and now someone else needs to.

They were Mzansi’s favourite couple when they dated, so fans were heartbroken when Boity confirmed their split earlier this year.

The two celebs have dated twice before,and Cassper has never hidden his love for Boity. But speaking to DJ Fresh on 5FM on Monday morning, Cassper conceded that the pair will probably never get back together and tie the knot.

“I’m not there anymore and I let it go because I didn’t deserve it. I had my turn and now someone else should marry her, do right by her,” he said.

But that doesn’t mean that Cassper isn’t ready for marriage.

Given the chance, Cassper admitted that he would marry his crush Minnie Dlamini in a heartbeat.

In fact, Cassper believes that rappers, and men in general, should stop with the one night stands and put a ring on it.

“This whole thing of us, as guys, smashing and moving on is wrong! We need to marry these girls. We are getting old. They are getting old. Stop wasting our sisters’ time,” he said.

This is not the first time that Cassper has opened up about marrying and having kids with Boity. Just a few weeks ago, the star took to Twitter to post a picture of the pair together, telling his fans that Boity no longer wants to have his babies but is still keen to be friends.

A video of an enthusiastic fan being tackled by bodyguards after he jumped onto stage during Future’s performance at the MTV MAMAs over the weekend has gone viral.

The video, which emerged over the weekend, has been doing the rounds on social media.

The eager fan took a chance by making his way onto stage and started dancing with the US rapper.  But Future’s bodyguards pounced on him within seconds and tackled him to the ground.

Struggling musician Dennis Bitone is reportedly being hunted by police after he ran out of the house without paying rent dues.

According to our sources, Bitone packed all his belongings over the weekend and disappeared from the pad he has been renting in Luwafu, Makindye without clearing dues amounting to Ushs 800,000.

It is said that his landlady identified as Josephine was left in shock after she found the house empty on Sunday morning and thus decided to go and open a case against Bitone at Makindye police.

The Nga Bwewakolanga singer is now said to be in hiding as police has mounted a search for him.

Musician Aziz Azion recently explained why he switched from doing RnB to other music genres like BaxRagga, Zouk and dance-hall.

While appearing on one of the local TV stations, Azion revealed that he decided to do other music styles to increase his fan base since not everyone is interested in RnB music.

“Our fans have different tastes of music and therefore as an artiste it’s my obligation to give them a variety of songs so they can chose what works for them. Radio and Weasel, Bebe Cool have been on top of their game because they release a variety of songs and let their fans chose what they love most,” said Aziz Azion.

He also added that when it comes to gigs, promoters always prefer artistes with a variety of songs and thus he found himself losing out on gigs something that prompted him to switch to other music genres to expand his discography.

City Socialite and former jailbird, Shanita Namuyimba also known as Bad Black says that she has quit music. This after Black released three songs in her short career as a musician which didn’t make it as far as she had hoped.

The Mud Guard singer revealed this during a live Facebook sessions with fans on Monday when she was talking about the MTV MAMAs. According to her, music is not as easy as she thought it was making her reach a decision to drop it.

“Ugandan music is not easy, even when you make it like Bebe Cool, Kenzo and Sheebah, the world doesn’t recognize you, you don’t win MTV awards and nothing moves. I have therefore decided to quit music because it is not easy. I will go and do other things,” she said.

During her short court with music, Black managed to release three songs namely; Munamawulire, Kyamuka and Mud Guard.

Achieng Abura(R.I.P) and her son Prince Abura

The late Achieng Abura, a former TPF judge who passed on last week, had set up an online fund on M-Changa to raise funds for her son, Prince Abura’s treatment.

The online fund dubbed ‘The Prince Abura Sickle Fund’ is aimed to raise KSh 4,000,000 (about Ugx 136 million).

A post on the online fund reads;

“My son Prince was born with Sickle Cell Anemia. About five years ago, it got complicated with a heart disorder that has kept him in chronic crises and is now affecting other organs. The disorder can be treated and we have assistance from a facility in London to treat him at almost no cost as it is a very expensive procedure.”

“However, we are raising funds to enable the other costs such as the airlift and recuperation requirements. I believe that he will be able to live a normal life after he gets this treatment and seek your kind assistance towards this. I have tried to raise funds twice before but both times were totally unsuccessful. I am not giving up. I know that we can raise this money and will not stop till I get him the treatment he needs. I need your kind assistance.”

Prince had received a scholarship for his studies but failed to start due to the illness.

The “Wale Wale” hitmaker will perform at a Kung Fu themed concert in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi next month.

Organised by StarTimes KungFu channel, the event will reportedly also be graced by Kung Fu masters from Beijing, China.

The concert will be a family day event organised to celebrate the channel’s 5th year anniversary. It will take place on the 5th of November at KICC grounds. Entrance will be free.

• Emphasize the shape of the cape by pairing it with slim fitted pants. However, for an inverted triangle body shape, you might want to balance it out with boot cut pants.

• For a cropped cape, usually swinging above the hip, wear with short-length skirts.

• If your cape has plenty of fabric and detail, balance the voluminous nature with a pencil skirt.

• Wear you cape with tight fitted pants, the longer the cape, the better it will look with skinny pants.

• Be careful if your cape is sweeping the floor, it can be dangerous if that extra fabric gets stuck on something. Madonna fell flat on the ground at the Brit awards last year, when she was yanked off stage by her cape which was tied too tightly.

Top Kenyan radio presenter Grace Makosewe has died. According to reports, the news presenter was found dead in her apartment.

Capital FM Kenya confirmed the news saying,  “It’s a very sad morning for us at @CapitalFMKenya as we mourn the demise of our former @thejam984 presenter Grace @makosewe. #RIPMakosewe”

After leaving Capital she moved to Kisumu based radio station Urban radio.

She was a Radio Dj, an event organizer, ran a PR firm and was fashion enthusiast as well.

Radio City’s Bryan McKenzie was shocked when he recently returned from radio studios and found his car missing.

McKenzie who was hosting his programme at the Bugolobi based station, had parked his car outside in the parking area and when the show ended, he returned to the parking lot only to find his car missing.

He is said to have then contacted his friends and workmates inquiring if any of them had picked it and they all responded with a NO which brought him to near tears as he realized that his car had been stolen. He went ahead and reported the case to the police.

McKenzie has now resorted to boda bodas and lifts as he works hard to buy a new car, hopefully soon.
